At St Mary's, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom walls. Throughout the year, our pupils actively engage with our local community, developing empathy, citizenship, and a sense of social responsibility.
During the festive season, our pupils bring Christmas cheer to the local community through carol singing, developing confidence whilst spreading joy and celebrating the spirit of giving.
We are proud of our connection with the Royal British Legion. Throughout the year, we also welcome visits from our local emergency services, including the fire brigade. These visits provide hands-on learning experiences where pupils discover how these vital services keep our community safe and gain an appreciation for the dedication of our emergency service personnel.
These community connections enrich our curriculum and help develop well-rounded, caring young citizens who understand their role in the wider world.
