World Book Day 2026
What a success!
The school was filled with excitement as pupils and staff arrived dressed as their favourite book characters. From classic storybook heroes to modern-day favourites, the creativity and enthusiasm on display made the day truly special.
Throughout the day, classes took part in a range of fun literacy activities designed to inspire a love of reading. One of the highlights was our Design a Book Cover and Blurb competition. Pupils showcased their imagination and artistic talents by redesigning covers for well-loved stories. The entries were fantastic, and it was clear that a lot of thought and effort had gone into each one.
Another favourite moment was our paired reading sessions, where older pupils teamed up with younger children to share stories together. These sessions created a lovely atmosphere around the school and gave pupils the chance to enjoy books while building confidence and friendships across year groups.
A huge well done to everyone who took part. Your enthusiasm made World Book Day a memorable celebration of the joy of reading!
