The Curriculum

We follow the Northern Ireland Primary Curriculum as issued by the Council for the Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment (CCEA), providing a broad, balanced, and enriching educational experience for all our pupils.

The curriculum is designed to develop the whole child, fostering not only academic achievement but also creativity, critical thinking, and personal capabilities. It is organised into key learning areas including:

  • Language and Literacy,
  • Mathematics and Numeracy,
  • The Arts,
  • The World Around Us,
  • Physical Education,
  • UICT,
  • Religious Education.

At the heart of our curriculum is a commitment to developing pupils as individuals, contributors to society, and to the economy and environment. We provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encourage children to make connections, ask questions, and develop a love of learning. Through play-based learning in the Foundation Stage and progressive development through Key Stages 1 and 2, we ensure each child reaches their full potential.

Our curriculum is enriched by a wide range of educational visits, guest speakers, cross-curricular projects, and extra-curricular activities that bring learning to life and help children see the relevance of their education to the world around them.

We are committed to meeting the needs of all learners, ensuring every child is supported and challenged appropriately to achieve success and develop confidence in their abilities.
